Dianne Blais
Dianne Blais held numerous jobs in Washington, DC and Virginia before becoming an active volunteer. She raised four 4 children and hosted over 100 foster children. Her interest in local politics gradually became more national and then international. She has been horrified by U.S. military policy and the large number of people hurt by it. In 2016, Dianne attended a World Beyond War conference, where she learned about the Women's International League for Peace and Freedom (WILPF). Now, she leads the Janne Addams branch of WILPF and in 2024, she declared her candidacy for Co-President of WILPF U.S. Dianne believes a world beyond war and enduring peace is possible. She serves in the Peace Room of the Founding Mothers Movement and is thrilled to pursue the movement’s two goals: Partnership and Peace!
